BGO's generous supporters are key to its continued success, and whether it's $10 or $10,000 (and yes, we've gotten both!), we're deeply grateful for each and every gift we receive. We can accept gifts of cash, securities, or almost any other type of asset. Donations are tax-deductible (as allowed by law), and every donor is acknowledged in our printed programs. Sponsors are also included in our multimedia publicity (TV and radio ads, posters, mailers, etc.) and are publicly acknowledged in interviews, curtain speeches, and social media posts. We've even been known to give private performances at the homes of generous donors. But regardless of the amount you give, we appreciate your support, and we'll do everything we can to show it!
To make a contribution by check, simply mail it to BGO, P.O. Box 910527, Lexington, KY 40591.
You can also donate over the phone by calling (859) 940-9379, or online using Paypal or a credit card (note that PayPal will keep a small percentage of your donation). Just click the button below.
Want to support BGO but don't have the money right now? No problem! Consider a planned gift. By naming BGO in your will or other estate planning, or as a beneficiary in a life insurance policy, you can ensure a legacy of support for the arts and arts education in central Kentucky and beyond. Endowment gifts may also be eligible for significant tax benefits under Kentucky law. Contact us at (859) 940-9379 for more information.
You can also support BGO by shopping at Amazon.com. Just visit smile.amazon.com (or click the button below) and log in to your Amazon account. Type "Bluegrass Opera" in the charity search box, and we should be the first group that pops up. Click "Select" and you're done! You should see our name at the top of the page every time you shop at smile.amazon.com (we recommend bookmarking the link to be sure all your Amazon purchases will benefit BGO).
We're always in need of some additional people to help us out with odd jobs. Whether it's moving scenery around, assisting with quick costume changes, taking tickets at a show, or helping us to put up flyers around the community, BGO's productions are truly a team effort. If you have some spare time and would enjoy getting involved in the activities of a professional arts organization, please let us know -- we'd love to have you with us!
